Grizedale Douglas Fir 1923-2018

After my first visit to Grizedale in 2018 and before taking on the studio I was given 2 rounds from a 95 year old Douglas Fir tree which had to be cut down. The tree was planted by the Brocklehurst family who owned the last Grizedale Hall, and it grew a short walk from the Hall.
