It is available in Black Ink, or Gold ink in a limited edition of 50 of each.

Fulfilment time and specs:

Print:                    3 days (wrapped in tissue and posted in tube)

Mounted print:     3 days Acid free pale cream board

Framed print:       7 days Solid oak frame.

The mount is approx 86 cm x 78 cm. ( 34inch x 31 inch)

The window in the mount is 79 x 71 cm ( 31 inch x 28 inch )

 Printed by hand onto Heritage Rag paper. It is a 100% cotton, unbuffered, Fourdrinier made paper with a vellum surface. It has a full archival specification.

This Oak tree began life in 1828 and fell in 2017. It lived its life at Allen Banks, Northumberland. I have a blog about the tree and its location.

Durham Oak Burr

This is a detail print of the Durham Oak Burr which was prepared and printed for BBC Countryfile which was aired on 2nd December 2018.

The wood was kindly donated by David Shields from the Art-e Factory based in Leadgate, County Durham.

  This piece of wood was sanded, burned, wire brushed, and then inked. 

The wood isn't level enough to be put through the press so this image is hand burnished using a bone folder. Its a slow, careful process as every millimetre of the paper has to be pressed onto the wood.

But so worth it!

 Printed by hand onto Fabriano Unica handmade paper 50% cotton content 250gsm. 

The prints are part of an open edition, and signed. They are available as seen without a mount.

The print dimensions are:  7.5 cm x 40.5 cm

The paper dimensions  are: 19 cm x 56 cm

Long or Round wood prints Burr Oak

Display your wood print linear or circular!

I have hand burnished Burr Oak to create long prints which look great as a set either on the wall or as rounds which sit beautifully on display.

Each print is stitched with bookbinders thread so that you can tie a bow in it to make your circular print.

Printed onto Fabriano Unica paper with oil based Printing ink.

Size: 70cm x 12 cm Linear format ( 27.5 inches x 5 inches )

Circular format: Diameter 18cm ( 7.5 inches )

Prints will be posted flat.
