This picture is currently in the Biscuit Factory Gallery, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne NE2 1AN as part of the Design/Craft/Innovate exhibition on until the end of August.
This is a piece of Burr Elm from Hexhamshire Hardwoods which was sanded, burned, wire brushed, and then inked and hand burnished to create the original print.
Printed by hand burnishing in my studio onto Fabriano Unica handmade paper 50% cotton content 250gsm.
Each print is signed and I note the date of printing on the reverse and how many were printed that day. I usually only print one or two at a time as hand burnishing is physically demanding work!
No more than 150 will be printed.
This is available printed with Black Ink.
The print is mounted, with backing card and comes in a cello bag or framed in a solid oak frame.
Size of image: 15cmx 24cm (6 inch x 9.5 inch approx)
Size of mount: 30cm x 40cm. (12 inch x 16 inch approx)
